Billy the Chicken Crosses The Road.....Or Does He??

A long time ago, there was a chicken named Billy. Billy had always heard those old jokes asking the age-old question why did the chicken cross the road. Unfortunately, many of those cruel jokes often ended with the chicken being run over by a vehicle of some kind. One day, Billy decided to take a stand and put an end all those pranksters who thought they were so funny. He was going to cross that road. Not only was he going to cross that road, he was going to get to the other side! Billy the Chicken put on his best Sunday suit and his finest pair of shoes and headed out. When he arrived at the shoulder of the road, he took a deep breath. “Well this is it. “ Billy thought to himself. Just as Billy was getting ready to take that first step, his friend Patrick the Porcupine walked up beside him. “Hey Billy, what are doing on the side of the road??” said Patrick. “Well Patrick, I was just getting ready to cross the road,” said Billy. “Oh that’s no big deal!” said Patrick. “I do it all the time! Watch me!”. That was the last time Billy saw poor Patrick….

From that day forward, anytime the question “why did the chicken cross the road” was asked, Billy always thought about that day and answered “to see why the porcupine couldn’t”.

Go Leafs?

Once again, I haven't been on here in ages. I quickly realized that as my blog seemed to update itself as it logged in. Fair enough though. Technology is constantly updating and it only seems fair that Google would have taken over what was known as the former Blogspot hehe. I heart Google :D

So the Leafs sure are sucking it up tonight. I think that I would like them to just make the playoffs. They don't have to be in 1st place...but give your fans some postseason action for gawd sake.

Spring Break is almost here. Am I going anywhere? NOPE haha. Maybe hit the slopes for some snowboarding, but other than that I am just chilling out, getting some things done around here. May pick up a book or something, learn a new skill....something to pass the time. I think I will go on a couple of trips this summer. More than likely heading to Toronto in July and maybe the States or out west in August. Maybe even Europe....who knows :D

Whoa..

Haven't been here in ages! Been kind of busy as I'm sure you may imagine....its tough being a teacher! Not much to say right now....I guess a Happy 2007 is in order. Other than that, just waiting for that -26 windchill tomorrow....brrrrr...I think we could all live with out that.

So whats in the news....anyone out there watching the Golden Globes? Anyone?? *tumbleweed rolls by*...hahaha I'm sticking to the old Monday night CBS tv....best tv other than the Monday to Friday constant laugh-a-thon on TBS. All television stations should be modelled after TBS. Someday I will own a tv station and it will certainly be modelled after TBS' fine syndicated programming....is there anything better?

The trees are changing, the air is crisp

Thats my lame shot at imagery poetry haha. Well the teaching career has been going quite well. I don't actually have a permanent job at the moment but I've been kinda working my way in the front door with a long-term supply gig and it has been going quite well. I must say I am enjoying it.

Hockey will start soon and that is always something to look forward to. Gettin out on the ice, playing some hardcore pick-up hockey and swillin a few cold ones after the game....thats what northern NB is all about!

Went salmon fishing on the Miramichi River on Mon/Tues/Wed......didnt get anything which sucked. My uncle caught a grilse literally on the last cast of the trip....haha and the rest of us just suck.

Anyone hear about the Miss Universal pageant winner girl that fainted? She said something about wearing a dress made of chains....like wtf man....little bdsm goin on at the universal pageant whoooo haha
