Well we're 2 weeks in...

....to the term. Funny.....its my last semester at UNB but I dunno, doesn't really feel like it. Like they say, time flies when you're having fun.

So whats new in my life? Well not tons....school is going decently. A couple of big events coming up that I feel I should tell you all about. First, hitting the Sloan concert at the SUB this Saturday night. Always a good show when these guys come to town. I'm sure it won't have the flash and pizzazz that Mick and the boys brought to Moncton, but it will still be a great show. Second, the Trews are playing the SUB October 6th. Don't think I'll be making that show though as I am trying to save some money for the thing thing that I have to mention, big trip to Boston November 4th-6th to see the Penguins and the Bruins!! Man this is going to be so awesome. First real road-trip.....I mean I've been on road trips before but this is the real deal. Should be a great time and one of the last great times until I have to teach for 4 months without getting paid. That will suck but you can rest assured this trip will be the bomb my friends....tha bomb!!!

Well thats it for now, I must get ready to head back to class in a few minutes as I am in the school comp lab, whooaa hot chick just walked in :D

JAGGAR FOR PM!!

Oh man the Stones concert certainly rocked!!! Had to be the highlight of my life so far.....the atmosphere there was just amazing and it was a day packed with music, food, beer and the ever-so-pleasant aroma of marijuana :D. We left Fredericton Friday around 5:30....arriving in Sackville around 7:30ish that evening. First stop of course was the liquor store :D After a few beer at my sister's, we headed out to a "Frosh" party....did i feel a little old to be there? Yes...yes I did....but I soon found out that alcohol does in fact lessen those inhibitions....so by the time we left that party, I couldnt have cared less if I was with 5 yr olds....haha....well ok maybe thats a little extreme, but you get the point.

Saturday morning was kinda rough.....the spins soon wore off after some grease at McDonalds :D Yeehawww.....after that, we were off to Erin's cousins place in Salisbury where cold beer awaited us. Unfortunately, the events of the night before left me less then willing the drink'er up, so I passed on the free beer. Around 12:30, we headed off the Magnetic Hill for what was bound to be the best day of our lives. By the time we actually parked the car and walked to the concert site, it was already 2:00. The walk there was adventurous in iteself, complete with homeowners along Mountain Rd. in Moncton selling beer and munchies, and of course groups of drunk girls flashing private party-goers at these houses. I remember saying "man if this is a sign of things to come, it is going to be a GOOD day".

After a quick, useless search at the gate, we handed our ticket and made it into the concert site. It was absolutely amazing. We had to walk around for awhile to take it all in. We bought a few souvenirs and around this time, Les Trois Accords hit the stage. They were better than what I expected but of course they were no Rolling Stones. During the early stages of the show, our attempt to meet up with cousins and other friends were foiled by the fact that nobody showed til later and I wanted to be as close to the stage as possible. Our Lady Peace hit the stage just before 4:00 and they absolutely ROCKED! I saw them in Halifax in 2002 and this show was 10 times better! Played alot of great stuff from their new cd. After OLP, we hit the vendors for some $40 Domino Pizza......like what the fuck man?? $40!!! Oh well....it was pretty much worth it. Maroon 5 hit the stage around 5 somethin and they were ok.....not a big fan of theirs but they sounded pretty good. At this point, we were pretty close up and our plan was to stay there so we could be close for the Hip and the Stones. The Hip hit the stage around 6:3o and definitely rocked the place as usual playing their best songs such as Courage and Little Bones (they didnt play New Orleans is sinking for obvious reasons).

The Stones hit the stage around 8:30ish giving a literal meaning to their tour name, A Bigger Bang. I don't think I could've been more impressed. They led off the show with an electrifying rendition of Start Me Up.....a tear came to my eye. It was unbelievable. They finished off the show with one of their more famous hits, Satisfaction, closing out with a burst of fireworks and flames.

Its really hard to describe everything I saw there, but it was definitely an experience that I'll cherish for years to come. It definitely heightened my senses and made me aware of what music really is. Anyone who can see the Rolling Stones in concert definitely should. You have no idea what your missing until you experience it!
